When do I pay for my rental car?
You pay for your rental car when you return your vehicle. However, a hold will be placed on your credit card at the time of rental. Please see section requirements for more information.
What information do I need to have with me when I arrive at the Dollar car rental counter?
When you arrive at the rental counter, you will need to show your passport, a valid driver's license along with an acceptable credit card.
What happens if the rental vehicle gets a mechanical problem?
If you have any maintenance issues with your Dollar rental vehicle, just contact us at 443-2950 (from anywhere in Costa Rica).
Can I keep my Dollar rental vehicle for longer than agreed to in the car rental contract?
If you would like to keep the vehicle longer than what is stated in the rental car agreement, you must contact our main office at phone 443-2950 in order to receive authorization and find out about additional costs you might incur.
How old do I have to be to rent a vehicle from Dollar Rent A Car?
The minimum age to rent a DOLLAR vehicle is 21 years of age. For more detailed information please see requirements.
Can I drive the rental vehicle outside Costa Rica?
No. Due to insurance restrictions the rental vehicle con not be taken outside Costa Rica.
